KUKU’s Story from Esfahan to Inglewood.
KUKU is a love letter to Persian culture, a celebration of family recipes, and a dash of techie creativity. Our story begins with Reza, a former tech entrepreneur who swapped coding for cooking. After immigrating to the U.S. from Iran, Reza found himself longing for the flavors of his childhood in Esfahan – especially the dishes made by his grandmother, lovingly known as Maman Joon.
Persian cooking isn’t about measurements; it’s about intuition, a touch of magic passed down through generations. Determined to bring Maman Joon’s magic to life, Reza turned to his mom in Iran, recreating her recipes through trial, error, and a lot of phone calls. The result? A taste of Esfahan, bottled up and ready to share.
Nestled in the heart of Inglewood, it’s where Persian heritage meets L.A.’s rich diversity, creating a space where cultures connect and new traditions take root.
